Groups & retreats
A private horse experience for your group, near Ogden, Utah.
Two to six people, one private arena, four hours. Learn real ground work together, then compete — mostly against yourselves — on barrels, poles and keyhole. No riding, no experience needed.
Something to do together that nobody has done before.
Most group activities are either passive (dinner, a show) or loud (escape rooms, axe throwing). Self Reunion is neither. It's quiet, physical, a little humbling, and genuinely fun. A horse can't be impressed or talked into anything. It responds to how calm, clear and present each person is — so everyone starts at the same place, whatever their job or age.
By the end of four hours your group will have groomed, haltered and led a horse, learned to read it, and run three riding-club patterns on foot. Everyone leaves with an Event Timesheet showing their first and final runs.
Who books a group day
- Friends marking a birthday, a milestone, or just a long-overdue day together
- Siblings and adult families who want time together that isn't a holiday meal
- Couples bringing another couple, or two
- Small teams — a leadership team, a practice, a nonprofit staff — who want an offsite with real attention in it
- Retreat groups staying in Ogden Valley or Ogden for a weekend
Every booking is private. You won't be combined with another group.
For small teams
Horses are honest feedback. Push too hard and they stop; go vague and they wander off; get clear and calm and they follow. It's a lesson in clear communication that nobody has to explain on a whiteboard. There are no trust falls and no facilitated debrief unless you want one — the patterns and the clock do the work.
Groups are capped at six so that everyone gets real time with a horse. For a larger team, ask about booking two back-to-back sessions.
